I needed a Desktop Replacement to carry with me on trips away from home and not lose quality and game play. The GT780 Delivers as much enjoyment as my Core i7 Desktop. The 17.3" Screen is amazing, worth the investment.

OK. I currently use a GATEWAY P-7811 FX gaming Notebook...i was wanting a better version, since mine has Vista.
(I did not know that this model has apparently become 'legendary'....so i bought the MSI )
Out of the box: touch pad feels like a glass sheet full of tiny marbles, mouse fared no better, the cursor is all over the screen, erratic and periodically freezing.
Screen....at full bright still murky.
Screen...GRAINY 'matte'(?) every tiny pixel magnified on a 2D surface.
Sound: not bad, has some dimensional stereo quality.
Resolution: 'high' but not sharp enough.
(The current gateway version has even less resolution, below HD standards....)
so although a friend highly recommends this MSI,
I personally shall have to look elsewhere.
