Sony VAIO VPCF22KFXB 16.4" Black Laptop Reviews
2 of 2 people found the following review helpful very fast, reliable, and good value, September 19, 2011 By Ken (ca, USA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Sony VAIO VPCF22KFXB 16.4" Black Laptop (Personal Computers) It's have the sandy bridge i7 cpu, very fast.
I did 3 upgrade after i got it:
1. Upgraded the hard drive to SSD, only cost me 100 for a 96gb SATA II ssd.
2. Upgraded the memory to 8gb 2x4gb, only cost $40 bucks, and you can sell the old one.
3. Got an LG external USB Blu-ray writer, only cost around $180.
then, it's a perfect power house.
For the money, you cannot get better.
Portable workhorse, March 25, 2012 By This review is from: Sony VAIO VPCF22KFXB 16.4" Black Laptop (Personal Computers) PROS
Fast i7 @ 2 GHz (max 2.9 w/ TurboBoost). Extremely responsive in any task.
Relatively light at less than 7 lbs. for a desktop replacement.
Excellent 16.4" matte screen.
Comfy chiclet-style, backlit keyboard.
Quiet fan and drive.
Electromagnetic multimedia buttons.
Quick boot (30 sec.) with regular internal drive.
Two USB 3.0 ports, 1 HDMI, 1 sVGA.
True full HD (1080p).
The newer models are not much different, but for better graphics and little else (Blu-Ray is optional).
CONS
Quirky design... but I like it.
Came with only 4 GB of RAM. I upgraded it to 8 GB for $30.
No Blu-ray.
Pretty thick.
Graphical performance is average, but more than enough for a non-gamer.
